Once the Inbetween has been summoned, the banishment of an Innocent can take you back. You will be alone and you will be anonymous, drenched in a veil of haze that hides all but those within touching distance.

The game of cat and mouse is turned upon its head here–the Innocent have no ability to protect themselves against the Infected, and no vote can take place. The Innocent may still continue to collect souls, but they will have to do so whilst being hunted.
